“The Sisk Gemology Reference” came out in 2016 in three volumes. It was a project with Jewelry TV. They came to me and asked if I had pictures of my replicas that they wanted to include in an upcoming book they were producing. The pictures I sent them was not good enough, so I coordinated to send my collection.
Over the course of several months they took photos of each stone, up to 150 each. They would stack the pictures so that every part of the stone was in focus and absolutely perfect. They went to this effort as the pictures were to be used in their gemstone classes.
Little did I know the extent of coverage in their final result. There were four gem cutters featured throughout the three volumes, most with just a paragraph as reference. God takes care of fools and children, and they gave me an entire chapter in both volumes I and III (the stack of three books is about 5 inches high, they are quite large and thick) featuring the most beautiful photos of my work that I have ever seen. The books are gorgeous and to have my work so prominently featured was special.
